What to use Flora chat for

Flora chat is the main place to ask questions and move work forward. Use it to learn how HeyFlora works, search private company knowledge, look up customers and properties, review field context, and start supported document workflows when your selected agent has those tools.

When Flora does not yet know enough about a role or workflow, use Discover before asking for a reusable agent, skill, or workflow automation.

Product docs versus company knowledge

Flora uses two different kinds of information:

  • Public platform docs answer questions about how HeyFlora works.
  • Tenant knowledge answers private questions from your uploaded documents, property records, field captures, and company context.

If you ask how to use a beta feature, Flora should cite a public docs page. If you ask what is in your company SOP, proposal library, site material, or uploaded documents, Flora should search your tenant knowledge base.

What affects Flora's answer

The selected agent and your permissions affect what Flora can do. A selected agent may have read tools, document draft tools, plant-health tools, field tools, web search, or scheduled task tools depending on its role and configured policy.

Tool access is not a shortcut around permissions. HeyFlora still filters actions by the current user's role and module access.

Reading answers

Good answers should show where the information came from. Product-help answers should cite public docs. Company-specific answers should cite your tenant documents or records when a source is available. If the answer has no citation for a factual claim, ask Flora where it found the information.

Asking better questions

Use specific prompts when possible:

  • "Search our knowledge base for irrigation SOPs."
  • "What did the most recent Field Snap show?"
  • "Summarize huddle action items for this property."
  • "How do I use plant health in HeyFlora?"

When asking about a customer or property, Flora can look up your actual records and present options rather than asking you to recall names.
